Unique Wedding Ideas and Custom Wedding Gift Ideas
Now that you've set the date, it's time to start planning. Making your wedding day special for you and your guests can be a challenge. Where do you look for ideas? Where do you start? According to most wedding planners, the first thing to consider is the wedding theme, your priorities, and, most importantly, your budget. Today, I will share some unique wedding ideas as well as some of our custom gift ideas to help make your wedding special.
When you need inspiration, Pinterest is a great resource. You can discover a wide variety of ideas for wedding invitations, wedding food, and wedding decorations that suit any budget. My grandson recently got married, and I found Pinterest to be a fantastic source of inspiration. I compiled a collage of pictures featuring some of the ideas and decorations for his wedding.
THINGS TO CONSIDER
Will your wedding be casual or formal, indoor or outdoor? One thing to keep in mind is the venue and the weather. If you are having a July wedding and live in the southern part of the US, you might not want to plan an outdoor wedding. Are you going formal? Then you may want a catered sit-down affair. But be sure to consider how many people you will invite when deciding on the type of menu. A small, formal wedding for 50 will be less expensive than a large informal wedding where you’ve invited a few hundred!
What about decorations? While balloons, mason jars, and simple flowers may work well for a casual-style wedding, they would be out of place at a formal affair.
Will you have a cake or cupcakes? An open bar, champagne, or wine and beer? Will your gown be white and traditional in style, or do you prefer a more casual look? Black wedding dresses are growing in popularity as are floral dresses. How many bridesmaids will you have? So many decisions to be made. But one thing to keep in mind is that this is your day so make it special and enjoy!
SOME UNIQUE IDEAS
Wedding guest books have long been a staple for weddings but there are so many options available for today’s couples. Just check Pinterest for some ideas. Here at Susan Newberry Designs we have created some alternative wedding guest books that will be treasured for many years to come.
And don’t forget about wedding signs to welcome your guests. Wedding signs are the first thing the guest sees when approaching the venue and can set the stage for the event. Susan Newberry Designs has recently added wedding signs (and this includes signs for the rehearsal dinner).
Weddings are special occasions, and your wedding should reflect your vision, regardless of the budget or theme. After all, it is one of the most important days of your life. So, make it exactly what you want and make it a day to remember.
