Summer Wedding Ideas
Planning a wedding can be stressful but can also be a great deal of fun! Typically June is a popular month to get married. Did you ever wonder where the term “June Bride” came from? Well, it's not as romantic as you might think. Many, many, many years ago, when indoor plumbing was not available, people took yearly baths. Most people got married in June because they took their yearly bath in May and they still smelled pretty good in June. In order to cover up any body odor that started to appear, brides carried a bouquet of flowers to hide the smell. Not very romantic, I realize, but today summer is still the most popular time to plan a wedding.
Why? First, the weather is generally mild, the light is excellent, there is an abundance of fruit, and the flowers are in bloom. Summer is ideal for outdoor or destination weddings. But no matter when the wedding, there is no wrong time to plan a wedding.
TYPES OF WEDDINGS
There are many types of weddings for you to consider: traditional weddings, destination weddings, wedding weekends, small weddings, themed weddings, courthouse weddings, or elopements. Whatever your choice, you can make it special by considering all your options. Just be sure to start early to help eliminate the stress that comes with selecting a date, booking venues, determining the wedding size, choosing menus, and interviewing wedding planners and coordinators.

Hi, I’m Susan! I’ve spent the last 10 years building my online company. I’ve always loved everything to do with design. In fact, after raising my kids, I decided to go to school and get my degree in Interior Design. While running my own interior design company, I started teaching and found that teaching was what I really loved. Combine that with Interior Design and well, you could say I was on cloud nine. I always loved the technical side of design which led me to graphic design and after studying graphic design, I was encouraged to open an Etsy shop to sell some of my creations. With my attention to detail and being somewhat of a perfectionist, graphic design made perfect sense. In December of 2018, I decided to retire from teaching and devote myself full time to my business and I haven’t looked back since! I love designing art for the home and would love to create something special for you.
It’s true what they say, “Love what you do, and you will never work a day in your life.”
