Farmhouse Style is a term we hear a lot lately but just what is Farmhouse Style? Farmhouse style decorating is warm and cozy, relaxing, and full of charm. It's classic and timeless, a perfect blend of old and new - a great way to recycle from the past and upcycle items to make them new again.

Made popular by Chip and Joanna Barnes, HGTV stars of Fixer Upper, this farmhouse style is attracting people of all ages because of its simplicity and comfort. Decorating is all about personality and your space should reflect you. Your home should have personality. Personality is what makes one home different from another. It gives a space character.

Do you want to create your own farmhouse style but am not sure how to go about it? Here are just a few tips to help get you started.

1. Keep it casual.

2. Use natural fabrics such as cotton and linen in your space.

5. The Little Touches - By adding small things (the little touches) you can make your space have the farmhouse style.

Hi, I’m Susan! I’ve spent the last 10 years building my online company. I’ve always loved everything to do with design. In fact, after raising my kids, I decided to go to school and get my degree in Interior Design. While running my own interior design company, I started teaching and found that teaching was what I really loved. Combine that with Interior Design and well, you could say I was on cloud nine.
