Our kitchen theme continues...

As the hub of the home, the kitchen remains the heart of the modern home.  You can transform your kitchen from bland to bold with color.  Sound daunting?  If you are thinking about updating your kitchen, think color. There is sure to be a color out their to fit your design style, whether traditional or contemporary.  I've put together a collection of some of the best colors for your kitchen.  Enjoy!

Red is a great color for kitchens because it makes you hungry.   A  lot of people paint their dining rooms red.  Here are some beautiful red kitchens...

Yellow is another good color for kitchens.  Yellow is a happy color.  It brings the sunshine in.  My daughter always said, "Yellow makes you smile."  Here are some happy yellow kitchens...

Vintage and Chic

Black and White is always a classic combination for your kitchen and never goes out of style.

This kitchen is simplicity at its best.

White upper cabinets, black lower cabinets, classic white subway tiles are both classic and  beautiful.

Green is always good in a kitchen.  Green is the color of nature so if you want to bring the outdoors in, choose green. It's also a calming color. Here's a kitchen from a New England beach house where the homeowner's theme was sun, sea, and sand.  I love the soft green with the white subway tile.

If green cabinets are too much for you, how about a green chalkboard to bring in a touch of green?

Gray is perfect if you are looking for a more contemporary look.  Gray is both classic and timeless.
