MY TOP TEN KITCHEN TRENDS
Whether you cook or not, there is no reason your kitchen can't look good! Today's kitchens are more than just a place to cook. Today's kitchen has expanded to add family activities as part of the daily kitchen routine. Kitchens are a place to gather, to entertain, to do projects, to eat, and yes to cook. So why not have a kitchen that looks good and functions well? Here are my top ten kitchen trends. Even if a kitchen renovation is not in the budget for the year, one or two trendy updates will bring your kitchen into the 21st century.
Trend One: Kitchens are the new family rooms.
Trend Two: Black and white kitchens are always in style.
Trend Three: Stainless steel is here to stay and it's not just for cabinets.
Trend Four: A walk-in pantry that is hidden behind closed doors.
Trend Five: Technology is important in a kitchen too as we spend so much time there.
Trend Six: Eco-friendly products are good for your health and the environment.
Trend Seven: Retro kitchens - a little bit of retro goes a long way.
Trend Eight: Layered lighting - Include ambient (general), task, and decorative lighting in your space.
Trend Nine: Kitchen Islands - the bigger the better!
Trend Ten: Eat-In kitchens might even replace the formal dining room.
