Artwork: Should I Add a Frame?

TO FRAME OR NOT TO FRAME

Prints

People often wonder whether they should frame their artwork. If you order a print, framing it will help you appreciate it fully. You can find frames both online and in local stores. The type of frame you choose is entirely up to you; your presentation should reflect your personality. When framing prints, consider adding a mat to enhance the overall look and increase its size.

Canvases

What about canvas wall art? It’s perfectly fine to hang a canvas directly on the wall. Our canvases are available in both .75-inch and 1.5-inch thicknesses. Either size is suitable for most applications, but when purchasing a large canvas, we strongly recommend opting for the 1.5-inch thickness.

Did you know that you can frame a canvas? While some people prefer the unframed look for a more modern aesthetic, others opt to add a frame for a different style. Canvas frames, particularly float frames, are designed to create the illusion that the canvas is floating within the frame. You can always request a mockup from us if you are uncertain.

Hi, I’m Susan! I’ve spent the last 10 years building my online company. I’ve always loved everything to do with design. In fact, after raising my kids, I decided to go to school and get my degree in Interior Design. While running my own interior design company, I started teaching and found that teaching was what I really loved. Combine that with Interior Design and well, you could say I was on cloud nine. I always loved the technical side of design which led me to graphic design and after studying graphic design, I was encouraged to open an Etsy shop to sell some of my creations. With my attention to detail and being somewhat of a perfectionist, graphic design made perfect sense. In December of 2018, I decided to retire from teaching and devote myself full time to my business and I haven’t looked back since! I love designing art for the home and would love to create something special for you.

It’s true what they say, “Love what you do, and you will never work a day in your life.”
