My Top Eight Bathroom Trends
The bath has always reflected the prevailing cultural attitudes towards hygiene, cleanliness, privacy, relaxation, socializing, and even morality and religion. Did you know that the toilet did not become a common household fixture in American homes until the early 20th century. In 1940 only about half of all U.S. houses had a bath and a flush toilet. In 1950, more than 85 percent of urban homes had hot and cold running water; 92 percent had a flush toilet, and 89 percent had a bathtub or shower. In rural areas, more than half of the farm homes lacked a bathroom. Once a place where little thought was given to design, housing only the necessities - a toilet, tub and sink - today's bathrooms serve as a place to relax and become revitalized.

Trend Number Five: Shower for Two - Large showers with dual fixtures for two.
Trend Number Six: Bringing the Outdoors In - Who wouldn't love to take a bath here?
Trend Number Seven: Luxury Fixtures Replace Old Standards - One word "Beautiful"
Trend Number Eight: Furniture replaces Cabinetry for storage - I love the old world charm this bathroom evokes.
