Today is National Ceiling Fan Day

Today is National Ceiling Fan Day.  Did you know that?  I didn't until I received an email from Progressive Lighting.  So what does that mean?  For one day we are encouraged to do two things:

  • Turn off air conditioners

  • Turn on ceiling fans

While I'm not advocating that you turn off your air conditioner if you live in an area where it is still summer.  Here in Atlanta the temperature is expected to reach 82 today. But I will be running my ceiling fans.  Ceiling fans consume far less energy than air conditions so that makes them good for the environment and your wallet.  Did you know that operating a ceiling fan can cost as little as $1/month?
